The service
9th Protocol provides an agentic coding tool (a CLI, VS Code extension, and web dashboard) that connects to AI models of your choosing. Subscriptions grant metered usage measured in credits that track underlying model cost.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, and legally able to enter a binding contract. You may not use the service if you are barred from doing so under applicable law or sanctions programmes.
Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for the code the agent writes and executes at your direction, and for reviewing changes before shipping them.
- Don't use the service to break the law, attack systems you don't own, or generate malware.
- Keep your account credentials and connector tokens secure; sessions run with your access.
- One account per person; no credential sharing or automated farming of free tiers.
Billing
- Plans renew monthly; credits reset with each cycle and unused plan credits don't roll over.
- Session resets and top-up packs are one-time purchases and non-refundable once consumed.
- We may adjust plan allowances with 30 days' notice; underlying model prices are set by providers.
AI output
Model output is generated by third-party AI systems and may be wrong. It is provided as-is, without warranty. You own the code you produce with the tool, subject to your own project licenses; we claim no rights over your repositories or vault content.
Termination
You can close your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms or abuse the metering system, with a refund of unused subscription time where required by law.
Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the fees you paid in the three months preceding a claim. We are not liable for indirect damages, data loss caused by agent actions you approved, or model-provider outages.
Copyright
We claim no rights over your repositories or vault content, and the agent runs locally, so we host very little of what you create. If you believe material we do host infringes your copyright, send a notice to support@9thprotocol.com identifying the work, where the material appears, your contact details, a good-faith statement that the use is not authorised, and a statement that your notice is accurate. We remove material subject to a valid notice, let the poster respond, and terminate repeat infringers' accounts.
Governing law & disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
Talk to us first: before starting formal proceedings, email support@9thprotocol.com and give us 30 days to resolve the dispute. If we cannot, any dispute arising out of or relating to these terms or the service shall be resolved by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules, in English. The Federal Arbitration Act governs the interpretation and enforcement of this section.
Class action waiver. Claims must be brought in your individual capacity, and not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class, collective, consolidated or representative proceeding. The arbitrator may not consolidate more than one person's claims or preside over any form of representative proceeding. If this waiver is found unenforceable as to a particular claim, that claim proceeds in court and the rest of this section still applies.
Small claims and opt-out. Either of us may instead bring an individual claim in small claims court. You may opt out of arbitration entirely by emailing us within 30 days of first accepting these terms; opting out costs you nothing and does not affect your account.
